All-Seeing Eyes (USA) @ NCF Cultural Co-op, Ballina

All-Seeing Eyes

Sunday July 6th / Doors: 7.15pm / Start: 8pm

All Seeing Eyes, from Kentucky (USA), are a trio of multi-instrumentalists with a beating heart of garage blues and psychedelic rock.

Johnny Walker (harmonica and guitar) was a founding member of Detroit’s Soledad Brothers whose first single, Sugar & Spice, was recorded at Jack White’s house. That single also featured in John Peel’s Record Box of his most treasured singles. Walker would also play guitar on the White Stripes debut LP.

Soledad Brothers released a number of albums, including the acclaimed Voice of Treason. John Peel included their track ‘Break 'em On Down’ on his only curated compilation, Fabric Live. Jack White’s Third Man Records will re-release the Soledad Brothers albums later in 2025.

The band would split in 2005, while Walker (real name Johnny Wirick) would soon study to become a full-time psychiatrist specializing in psychosis and mania.

Walker continued to play in various bands including Cut In The Hill Gang. He would also tour as vocalist with DKT-MC5 (Davis Kramer Thompson - MC5), the official name given to the MC5 reunion.

Fast forward to 2018 and the formation of the All Seeing Eyes, who released their first album “In Us We Trust” on French label Mauvaise Foi Records. Lance Kaufman (drums) and Kane Kitchen (bass) make up the All Seeing Eyes rhythm section.

Ballina audiences can expect to hear classic Soledad Brothers tracks, mixed with new All Seeing Eyes tracks from the upcoming album “Trone des Fleur” (Masonic Records).
