Open Mic – Saturday, 23rd August, 9PM

Ballina open mic returns this month! All are welcome: music/poetry/comedy/storytelling, whatever floats your boat. Sign up at 9pm and start at 10pm. Both right and lefthand guitars will be provided. Hosted by Seán Gorman and Joe Clarke.

KutznTrax // Vol. 003 – Summer Closer – Saturday 30th August , 9PM

We’re back for the third instalment of KutznTrax to close out the summer, a night where raw rhythm, deep cuts, and dancefloor energy collide.

After two unforgettable sessions, we’re handing the decks over to DJ Spuggy and the FunknHard crew, bringing their signature blend of Trance, IBM, Techno, House, and everything in between, curated to keep you moving from start to finish.

Human Leather in theNCF!

Brighton's *Human Leather*, recently signed to Wrong Speed Records, come to Ireland for the first time. The two piece, reminiscent of early Adebisi Shank and Melvins, are hugely popular on the UK DIY scene. Check out their new video here. https://youtu.be/UR61qWeckwM?si=9vO6zmm74p3z7niz

*An Slua* are probably the best punk band to come from Ireland in the last 10 years. Festival appearances in France and beyond have cemented this. FFO Section 4 and Runnin Riot. Debut album coming soon.

Bringing some alt rock sounds to the mix are local young upstarts *Displaced* .

Wild and Well Festival

Wild and well festival returns for its third year, a weekend celebration of community, creation, and holistic wellness in the majestic Wild West!

5th-7th September 2025 at Annaghmore House in Collooney, Co. Sligo

Open call

A celebration of short film shot on smartphone will take place this October as part of the Ballina Fringe Festival.
We are inviting film makers from around the world who create short films on smartphones to submit entries from 1 to 10 minutes on the subject of 'Storytelling'. Open to film makers of all ages and nationalities, from first time to professionals as long as your film is shot entirely on a smartphone, our vision is to create a a level playing field for film makers where talent, quality and creativity are paramount and stories from around the world and backgrounds are told.
