News and event in theNCF in April

Hello and welcome to the April Newsletter!
 

We have some fantastic news to share this month. The NCF has been awarded the Acts Art Grant from Mayo County Council. This funding will go toward supporting the Conncert, which is making its return this August for its second year. We couldn’t be happier to help bring this exciting initiative back to our area. Stay tuned for their full program, which will be released this summer!
 

We are also eagerly awaiting news on other funding applications. We hope for successful results and will update you as soon as we receive more information.

Culture Night Grant deadline is coming up soon as well. Ideas from members are always welcome.

Upcoming Events

Paintings Inspired by Golden Mothers Driving West by Paul Durkan

Members Emmanuel and Michael's joint exhibition inspired by Paul Durkan’s poem Golden Mothers Driving West is opening tomorrow, 4th of April, at the Ballina Library. 

The event will feature a reading and a conversation with the artists at 6.30 pm. The exhibition runs from 5th to 22nd April.
 

Family Art Workshop

Member Ciara will guide parents and children through an interactive Family Art Workshop. Taking inspiration from the current exhibition, families will collaborate to create unique artwork based on the theme ‘Pattern and Line.’ Participants will explore materials such as paper, pastels, glue, and paint while experimenting with collage, mark-making, and painting techniques. A wonderful opportunity to create and connect as a family!

Starting the 12th of April, from 2 to 3:30 pm, in the Ballina Arts Center every month.
Price: €12 for 1 adult + child / €5 per additional child (+ booking fee)

The Ballina Punx are back at theNCF for another epic night on the 18th of April!
