November events in theNCF
November 21, 2024
Hello everyone and welcome to the November newsletter!
We would like to thank everyone who made the Showcase possible last month, we don't need to name you, you know who you are! Everyone who participated, everyone who showed up! We had such a blast!
Moving forward we are brainstorming and working on how to use the space.
We will prepare an info sheet with some basic guidelines on how to use the space and what to expect, to ensure fairness and equal access. Everyone should be able to use it and have a good time, respecting each other and the space while doing so.
Coffee Meet & Greet
Serena and Carmel are organising the first TheNCF Coffee Meet & Greet on the 30th of November. We will meet at the Ballina Library from 10 to 12 am. It's a great opportunity to get to know each other in the community and share ideas. Also, bring your friends who want to know more about us. This is also a child friendly event. Don't be shy, come and have a cuppa. Looking forward to meet you there!
December events: Open calls
We are planning a few events which we will officially announce in the December newsletter, but in the meantime we call for your involvement once again!
On the 13th of December, Carmel proposed a conscious raising event based on two books produce by the Kinvara Palestine Solidarity group: Palestine A-Z book and another book of poems written by Palestinian children. Copies of the book will be on sale on the night. Carmel's idea is that members of theNCF contribute to the event by reading a short paragraph of the book or a poem. If you would like to participate in this event, please contact us at info@thencf.art
On the 21st of December we are thinking of organising a Members' Christmas Market. If you would like to contribute and have a stall please also contact us at info@thencf.art . The Market will go ahead if we have numbers, but we will certainly have a party at night with mulled wine to get into the Christmas spirit :)
Talk soon in December with a more detailed program!
