Hi everyone,

Don't forget that our open call deadline for the BBF showcase is on the 8th of September!

It will be a great opportunity to get together and everyone is welcome to take part in any way they feel comfortable. Please read the open call below and send me a quick message if you're taking part (yay or nay is enough for now, just to have an idea of numbers).

So far we have a few visual artists and DJs who've submitted their applications, it would be nice to have our musicians and poets/writers take part too!

TheNCF Official Launch Showcase / Opening Event for Ballina Fringe Festival 2024 Hosted by theNCF - Friday 4th October 2024 from 8pm - late.

A Showcase of theNCF Arts Collective to celebrate our new premises and introduce ourselves to the neighbourhood!

The proposed run of events on the night will be:

* Throughout the event a visual art exhibition will adorn the walls of the space with a possibility of installation spaces.

* Live acoustic type music sets

* Performances

* Dj sets

TheNCF is such a diverse group of creatives we want everyone to get involved if possible so we’re urging all artists of all mediums to submit work to our open call.

We will try to exhibit/showcase 1-2 works for each member. We ask that everyone applying includes the following information with their submission:

Visual Art:

1-3 images of each work submitted
title of work
mediums used
dimensions of work
price of work (if for sale - there will be no commission charged on sold artworks)
All art must be in hanging condition (ready to hang).

Music: Open to Acoustic type performances (10-15min sets)

Deadline for submitting work to the open call is Sunday 8th of Sept 2024.

Artworks must be delivered to theNCF premises prior to the event - we will set delivery dates in mid September.

Events

We wanted to apologise in advance for the increased number of messages this month—this open call is really important. Please bear with us if you receive a few extra updates before October 4th.
We don't want to bomb you with newsletters so just a gentle reminder again that if you'd like your events to be included, please send them in before the start of the month. If you find out about an event during the month, we’ll be able to include it in a mid-month update if necessary. If your event is cancelled, please let us know as soon as possible.

From now we're going to try and keep this schedule for event updates at least. Thanks for your understanding and cooperation!

Having said all that, since we have your attention, here's one more event for this month:

Noel's The Common party returns to Easkey this Saturday the 31st, you can pitch a tent or campervan at the site. BBQ from 7, fire, and tunes until the early hours. Everyone is welcome (the event is also child-friendly). The sauna is booked out from 6pm until 10pm if anyone wants to avail of it.
